Another shoe factory stopped operating

SHOES SHOES had the same destination as ALBANO, GUANTE and GACEL, local companies that had to end their footwear production. At the end of August, the aforementioned factory declared bankruptcy, with the consequent cessation of activities in 20 stores and the dismissal of 300 employees.

Industrial sources in the footwear sector agreed that the low cost of Brazilian and Asian products hinders the competitiveness of local companies, although the quality varies between different types of footwear.
