In the Metropolitan Region, retail sales of FOOTWEAR in face-to-face format had a real annual growth of 74.4% in October 2021, compared to the same month of the previous year, which had not registered major variations, according to the Department of Studies of the National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism (CNC).
In the third quarter, the sector had achieved significant positive variations, with increases of 954% in July; 247.3% in August and 122.6% in September. In addition, between January-October, the increase was 63.9%, reported CNC.
For its part, the Retail Import Index determined that, as of September 2021, FOOTWEAR had an increase of 45.6% in the volume of imports. As for the value, it decreased by 1.2%, according to Quant Research and the CNC Studies Department with data from the Bureau of Labor Statistic and the National Customs Service.
