Online sales increased

The CNC's Research Department distributed the “Online Retail Sales Report”, with the figures corresponding to the first third of 2021. In this period, there was an increase of 195.8% in online sales of retail stores in general. Particularly in the FOOTWEAR category, the increase was 140.6%, compared to the same quarter of 2020.

According to the report, the important increases in the categories are due to the low base of comparison with respect to the period before the pandemic. The share of online sales of FOOTWEAR and CLOTHING was 22% in the first three months of 2021, compared to 3% in 2019, CNC reported.
