Retail trade, with annual growth
Despite negative indices in the second half of 2022, FOOTWEAR retail sales in the Metropolitan Region registered an increase of 13.4% in the first ten months of the year, and in relation to the same period of 2021, according to the report of the Department of Studies of the National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism of Chile (CNC).
Faced with positive figures in 2021, trade in general experienced a decrease between July and October, as a result of a stabilization in consumption and a high comparison base. High inflation, less liquidity and high rates have a major impact on the consumption of products that are not considered essential, reported CNC.
