World Trade Organization receives claim from China
On September 1, new taxes from the United States were applied to a set of Chinese products, to which the Asian country responded through a claim to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
The measure would not be aligned with the WTO General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade promulgated in 1994, as argued by China. The organization will seek to reach a resolution to the problem through a discussion between the parties, according to Leatherbiz.
