After 19 years, Luis Flórez, president of ACICAM, retires

Leader of long experience in the sector, both in the national and international field, reported on his retirement from institutional activity.

Flórez had an outstanding participation in the dissemination and defense of the industry in the different forums that he participated. Because of his drive and knowledge, he managed to make the Colombian industry visible in the global context, his words and concepts being attended by many of his colleagues. In the local order, his concern was permanent to fight for better conditions for his sector.

Luis Gustavo Flórez Enciso is a chemical engineer and specialist in economic studies at university level. He held various positions in official and private organizations until in 2001 he was elected to conduct ACICAM -Colombian Association of Leather, Footwear and Manufactures-.
