As a consequence of the pandemic and its incidence in the country, the FOOTWEAR and MANUFACTURING sector is going through one of its worst moments. Activity has been strongly affected, especially by the characteristics of this industry in Colombia, which presents a high degree of atomization and informality.
Most of its members are micro and small companies, which, due to the collapse of sales, had to lay off staff and in many cases permanently close their doors. Beyond the economic problem, a deep social crisis is perceived, where the basic sustenance of a high percentage of the population is compromised.
