Footwear spending led by Bogotá
Throughout the twelve months of 2023, household spending on FOOTWEAR totaled 3.673 billion Colombian pesos (over US$ 900 million). This figure represented a 2.9% growth in current terms, while reflecting a 3% contraction in real terms for the year.
According to the ACICAM-RADDAR Observatory, the highest spending in the sector was observed in Bogotá, accounting for 34% of the total expenditure. Following Bogotá, Medellín held a market share of 9%, while Cali represented 5%, and Barranquilla accounted for 3%.
These four cities accounted for 51% of footwear spending in Colombia, according to ACICAM.
