Footwear University born in Cúcuta?

The project aims to promote the footwear industry Cucuta, proposed by the mayor of the town of North Santander department.

In this sense, the promotion and training of the workforce will be carried out by the Technological Center of Cúcuta.

The exchange of knowledge and experiences with the footwear and manufacturing sectors was the reason for the meeting held by Mayor Jairo Yáñez with the Colombian Association of Footwear Industries -ACICAM-, the Association of Furriers of Cúcuta -ASOPELECUC-, the Footwear Industry Corporation from the North of Santander -CORPOINCAL-, and members of ABICALÇADOS -the Brazilian Association of the Footwear Industry-.

The Colombian representatives intend to achieve coordination with the municipality of Curitiba and its university, to which will be added the visit of Colombian leaders and authorities to Novo Hamburgo, an important footwear center in Brazil, reported from La Opinion.
