Generalized decline in the leather-footwear sector

Data prepared by the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE) on a provisional or preliminary basis, show mostly negative variations in the results as of December 2020, in the footwear, leather and leather goods industry.

In this sense, only the sector of "Hides, skins and fine skins, untanned", registered a significant increase in imports over the past year. While the three items had decreases compared to the same period of 2019, in relation to real sales, production and employment, as shown by the Monthly Manufacturing Survey with a Territorial Approach.
