Andean Community unified labeling
The Andean Community put into effect, on November 15th, the regulations on the labeling of the footwear, clothing, travel and related articles, and leather goods industries. The regulations unified the data described there, reaching Colombia, Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador, to impose on local products and those from outside the Andean bloc.
In order for the consumer to be informed about the properties of the articles, the labeling must provide accurate and understandable information, including data such as the identification of the importer or manufacturer, materials used, country of manufacture and origin and size, in the case of footwear.
