The Government opened the doors to sneakers import

The Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investment and Fisheries of the country, together with the Foreign Trade Committee have reduced from 40% to 15% taxes on imports of this type of product.

The list of items to which Ecuador has lowered tariffs includes specialized technical footwear, as well as "all sport footwear of athletic, football, tennis, basketball and gymnastics, among others."
