In May, the 26th edition of the Latin American Footwear Forum is taking place in São Paulo, Brazil, an initiative by the Association of Footwear Chambers of Latin America (ACCAL). This annual gathering brings together representatives and leaders from sectorial entities across the region, along with executives, entrepreneurs, and professionals linked to the footwear industry.
In addition to a schedule of conferences, exhibitions, and debates on relevant topics, the objective is to understand the realities faced by industries in each country and foster valuable exchange of information and knowledge to enhance cohesion within the regional sector, aiming to formulate a strategy regarding both domestic and external markets.
There are significant challenges in intra-regional trade, where industries from different countries can increase their participation and find avenues for complementation, resulting in mutual or collective benefits. The key is to overcome cultural barriers and adopt a proactive approach, considering the new and unforeseen possibilities that may arise.
In the extra-zone area, due to various factors, international footwear trade undergoes significant changes, which need to be meticulously documented to assess an appropriate strategy that allows the Latin American sector to advance towards its consolidation as a global producer.
Both initiatives must inexorably be addressed by the entire industry. For this purpose, forums are the appropriate venue for leaders and representatives to effectively promote discussion and planning with the goal of integrating and uniting to develop both domestic and external markets.
For the benefit of all.
