PUMA meets sustainability goal ahead of schedule

As part of the company’s environmental policy, the use of recycled materials grows and gas emissions decrease.

The German sports brand announced that nine out of ten products now incorporate certified or recycled materials, meeting a 2025 goal one year in advance. In 2024, around 75% of polyester and 13% of cotton used were recycled.

The company highlighted progress with its RE:FIBRE program, which transforms post-consumer and industrial textile waste into new fibers; this process represented 13.9% of polyester used in apparel production.

Regarding climate impact, the company reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 86% compared to 2017, thanks to the use of renewable electricity, electric vehicle fleets, and solar panels. In its supply chain, emissions dropped by 17%.

By 2030, PUMA aims to reduce emissions by 90% in its operations and by 33% in its supply chain.
