Mercalli, one of Vigevano's best-known businessmen, passed away on Sunday morning, March 15th at the San Matteo Hospital in Pavia.
After participating in the SIMAC-TANNING TECH fair in Milan, from February 19th to 21th, his health condition suddenly worsened, testing positive for coronavirus, and the procedures carried out in the intensive care unit were unsuccessful, as reported by the regional media La Provincia Pavese.
