The 53-year-old executive holds a law degree from the University of Parma and a "master's degree certifying expertise in industrial property rights." He also specialized in "Sustainable business models: creation and implementation of corporate sustainability models" through the Ca' Foscari Challenge School in Venice in collaboration with Ernst and Young.
Possagno began his career at Pirelli, working in the Milan office and later in São Paulo, Brazil, from 2002. He then moved to TIM Brasil, based in Rio de Janeiro.
"I thank Chair Giovanna Ceolini, the President´s Council, the General Executive Council of Assocalzaturifici and the Board of Directors of ANCI Servizi for unanimously entrusting me with this appointment," said Giorgio Possagno, General Manager of Assocalzaturifici and Managing Director of ANCI Servizi.
"Taking on this role in an organization that significantly represents the excellence of the Italian footwear manufacturing sector, with a long history of supporting numerous production chains and representing around 500 companies, is undoubtedly an important responsibility. I approach this new role with enthusiasm and the commitment to strengthen dialogue among all members to continue growing and innovating services and products. My mission will be to bring together the various production districts, with a view to reinforcing Confindustria’s central role. I am confident that, thanks to the professionalism of all directors, management, and collaborators, we will positively face the important challenges ahead," concluded Giorgio Possagno.
