82% increased imports from Brazil

In the period between January and September 2019, 980,631 pairs of Brazilian shoes entered, which meant an increase of 82.6% over the same months last year. Along the same lines, the imports value was US $ 8.4 million, a positive variation of 54%, according to figures from the Secretary of Foreign Trade (SECEX) of the Ministry of Economy, Industry, Foreign Trade and Services of Brazil.

The fall was registered in the average value, which stood at US $ 8.66 and represented a decrease of 15.7%, reported from ABICALÇADOS.
