Footwear sales exploded in León, Mexico

Through the BUEN FIN system, buyers came from all over the country and sales records were reached.

The public flocked to the stores, driven by the tempting offers on footwear.

BUEN FIN is a commercial event held every year throughout the country in the month of November, with special promotions and discounts, ranging between 20 and 60% of normal prices.

The initiative has its antecedent in the "Black Friday" of the United States, and is promoted by the Business Coordinating Council, the federal government and banking institutions. The objective is to promote higher sales for the economic reactivation of the different productive activities, through convenient prices for consumers.

This year, the BUEN FIN period was from November 10th to 16th, where there was a notable influx of buyers in the main shopping centers of the country.

In particular, in the city of León and its surroundings, as it is the largest shoe producer center in Mexico, the points of sale were “invaded” by local buyers and from other states, who were present to access tempting offers on footwear.

In large shopping centers such as Outlet Factory, Mulza, Plaza Mayor, Zona Piel, Altacia, NIKE Factory, etc. long lines of buyers were observed, which made it necessary to control access to the stores, in order to respect protocols for staying in the stores.

The purchases by family group and independent were for significant volumes, given the convenience of the proposals.

This situation brought collateral benefits, such as the increase in tourist activity -accommodation and gastronomy- in addition to generating an intense flow of traffic on the main roads of the city.

According to preliminary data, chambers and commercial entities reported an increase of 10% compared to 2020 sales, in which time a total figure of 239,000 million Mexican pesos (approx. US $ 11,100 million) was reached in more than 130 thousand stores.
