Manufacturers ready for eventual demand

Given the probability that the school year will resume in person in January 2022, the footwear industry was ready to meet the demand for school products, as declared by the president of CICEG at the end of last November.

The leader also reported that the footwear sector suffers from a shortage of workers, to normalize their activities.

Throughout the pandemic, the manufacture of footwear had a drop of between 10% and 15%, figures that need to be translated into new sales, added Padilla Villalpando.
