Political candidate proposes to reactivate the leather footwear industry

Ricardo Sheffield Padilla, from the ruling Morena party, a candidate for mayor of León as of the next elections, and in good agreement with López Obrador's federal government, promised to promote a project to promote leather footwear.

He declared that it is a joint initiative between hundreds of footwear manufacturers and tanners, to value leather or leather footwear, and thus displace the synthetic maquila that comes from China.

The politician affirmed that he is working on the final details of the project to present to the federal government, which will give a new impulse to the tanning industry and leather shoe manufacturers, discouraging the consumption of synthetic material products.
