Shoemakers request to resume proposal to Asian clients
After Tatiana Clouthier left the Ministry of Finance, the Guanajuato footwear sector halted negotiations with Asian clients, which at that time were 70% advanced, according to Alfredo Padilla Villalpando -CICEG president-.
In its beginnings, children's footwear was the preferred type for Asians, to which men's footwear was later added, the leader reported.
In this context, CICEG is planning a meeting for 2023 with Raquel Buenrostro Sánchez, current official of the aforementioned government body, in order to continue the negotiations, since other countries also intend to reach an agreement.
For the industrial entity, the initiative is of interest as it encourages the participation of local manufacturers, generates jobs and develops the economy.
