Taiwanese factory interested in settling in Mexico

The FENG-TAY factory from Taiwan, which has a 35% participation in the supply of NIKE, with an annual production of 110 million pairs of sports shoes, showed interest in settling in Mexico. According to Mauricio Usabiaga Díaz Barriga -Secretary of Economic Development of Guanajuato-, the place chosen for the industrial installation would be the locality of Salamanca at 90 kms. of León.

The official said that the local sector would not lose competitiveness due to the possible arrival of the company, which remains attentive to the evolution of the Treaty between the United States, Mexico and Canada, reported from the state government.
