The challenge of betting on sustainability

In the context of the event organized by the FDRA (Footwear Distributors and Retailers of America/USA) -Supply and Sustainability Summit-, important American companies maintained contact with representatives of the Foreign Trade Promotion Coordinator (COFOCE) and were interested in Mexican companies.

The greatest interest is for sustainable articles and for that, APIMEX, CICEG, CICUR, etc. received information on trends from COFOCE. The requirements exceed the design and point to sustainable productions and economic and ecological materials.

In this way, the director of the Fashion/Dressing Sector of COFOCE -Jacob Torres Espino- said that, in order to access markets abroad, it is necessary to include sustainability, COFOCE reported.
