Less purchases and sales of footwear to Brazil
Paraguayan footwear exports to Brazil fell 22.1% in the first ten months of the year, compared to the same period in 2019. Sales reached 435,411 pairs, worth US $ 2 million, that is, 27% less.
In turn, each pair had an average price of US $ 4.60, which meant a decrease of 6.3%, according to data provided by SECEX.
For its part, imported Brazilian footwear had a volume of 6.5 million and a value of US $ 18.4 million. This translated into negative variations of 20.6% and 45.5% respectively. The average price per pair also fell by 31.3% and stood at US $ 2.82, as reported from ABICALÇADOS.
