The return of the school activity reactivated the demand, and consequently a greater production of footwear.

School shoe sales recover
Last February, the footwear sector announced a 50% increase in sales of school footwear, compared to a previous year without results.
This was confirmed to the local press by the member of the Union of Footwear Manufacturers and Suppliers of Paraguay (GRECALPPY) -Joel Lucas-, who also stated that the resumption of activity in the sector took place in February and that they expect to reach 80 % increase in this product line.
The slow reactivation was accompanied by delays in shoe deliveries, due to uncertainty about returning to classes in person.
