Shoemakers exhibit in supermarket chain

Throughout the month of August local manufacturers will have stands at SUPERSEIS stores.

Given the drop in consumption, footwear manufacturers wait to increase their sales at points of greater public influx.

As a new sales alternative within a tough situation due to the lack of sales and paralysis of the sector, as a consequence of the health crisis unleashed by the coronavirus, Paraguayan manufacturers reached an agreement with the SUPERSEIS supermarket chain to expose their footwear.

From August 13 to 16, they were present in the central store of Asunción, while during the rest of the month they will do so in other stores of the chain strategically located in different parts of the city and its surroundings.

From the Association of the Union of Footwear Manufacturers and Suppliers of Paraguay, the leader Dora Oviedo, underlined the difficult moment that the sector is going through, beset by the recession caused by the pandemic, in addition to the unfair competition they must endure due to the entry of Chinese footwear by smuggling.

In SUPERSEIS stores, manufacturers have free stands to reach potential customers, both wholesalers and consumers. The cooperation agreement is mutually beneficial because the supply of shoemakers adds a new point of interest to supermarkets, while manufacturers access a greater number of public.
