Traders to increase purchases of local footwear and textiles
At the end of last November, the Association of Importers and Traders of Paraguay (ASIMCOPAR) announced its intention to acquire more local footwear and textiles. This was stated by the head of the organization, Umesh Chandiramani, after a meeting with Mónica Recalde, the Minister of Labor.
This initiative is accompanied by the condition that the products have innovation in their designs and the application of advanced technologies, in order to raise the current quality. The entrepreneur also highlighted the competitiveness of the national offer in terms of price compared to imported items.
Furthermore, the creation of more jobs is foreseen, thanks to the boost that would be generated in micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.
