After the health crisis and in the process of recovery, the Peruvian footwear industry is exploring new markets abroad.

45% more footwear was exported
The Institute for Research and Development of Foreign Trade of the Lima Chamber of Commerce (IDEXCAM), reported that 2 million pairs of shoes were sold abroad in 2021 for a value of US$ 19.2 million. In relation to the previous year, a positive variation of 45% was recorded.
Among the destination countries, Chile, Panama, Bolivia and the United States stood out, according to the Lima Chamber of Commerce.
Compared to pre-pandemic yields, Peruvian footwear exports fell 2% compared to 2019.
