Academic training center for footwear works in Trujillo

With the economic contribution of the municipality of El Porvenir for the PROCOMPITE program, entrepreneurs from the leather and footwear sector of El Porvenir in Trujilllo, will be able to continue training after the reopening of the Training Center for the Footwear Industry -CEFOLIC- last January.

The place was closed for 8 years and its rehabilitation creates a new opportunity for education and training. It has 15 specialized machines for different operations and suitable personnel to teach about cutting, roughing, bending, gluing and assembly of footwear.

The PROCOMPITE program allows local governments to allocate 10% of their budgets to improve the competitiveness of production chains, through the development, adaptation and transfer of technology, and may also consider the acquisition of equipment, machinery, infrastructure, supplies and materials.
