Decrease in Brazilian footwear imports
Between January and March 2024, the volume of footwear imported from Brazil amounted to 581,540 pairs, marking a 40% decline compared to the same period the previous year, according to SECEX.
In terms of value, there was a negative variation of 36.7%, resulting in business worth US$ 5.2 million. However, the average value per pair showed positive indicators, with an increase of 5.5%, bringing the price to US$ 9.05, as reported by ABICALÇADOS.
