Footwear purchases from Brazil grew
The importation of Brazilian footwear by Peru reached a volume of 1.3 million pairs and a value of US $ 6.5 million, throughout the first three months of 2021. In relation to the same period last year, the amount of imports registered a growth of 64.9%, while the value increased by 2.5%.
The negative variation was in the average value per pair, which stood at US $ 4.81 and fell 37.8%, according to data provided by SECEX and disseminated by ABICALÇADOS.
Among the actions to promote higher sales in Peru, the Brazilian entity organizes a virtual footwear showroom from May 17th to 21st, with the presence of 34 brands.
