Due to the Free Trade Agreement (TLC) that Peru maintains with China, micro and small enterprises are in difficulties, as a result of the low value and the zero taxes of imports from the Asian country. The Pyme Association of Arequipa requested the analysis of the trade agreement, both from Congress and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism.
From the Association of Small and Microcompanies of Tanneries and Derivatives of Are-quipa (ASPEMYCUR), they reported that they are harmed by the entry of footwear and synthetic leather from China. They proposed an equal price for local and foreign items, in addition to the same volume of both products in stores.
