Footwear Industry Outlook
The APICCAPS Office of Studies released its COVID Survey at the beginning of last March, which had the participation of 81 companies, which represent 23.1% of foreign sales and 18.4% of employment.
In relation to orders, 39% of those surveyed said they had a job for two more months, while at the beginning of 2021 it was 29%. In addition, 19% exceed 3 months of production due to orders, compared to 10% at the beginning of February.
The main concern is the drop in international orders, followed by the inconvenience when it comes to sourcing raw materials.
For the next six month, 40% of the industries consider that they will have to cancel their activity, and 14% of that total responded that it will be greater per month, APICCAPS reported.
