Foreign shipments increased
In the first four months of 2021, there were 22 million pairs of Portuguese footwear sold abroad, reaching € 497 million and a 4.3% increase compared to the same four-month period of 2020.
In that period, the main market for exports was Europe, where businesses were carried out for € 413 million, representing a 6.8% increase. Within this destination, sales to Germany meant € 123 million, an increase of 40% and an increase of 8.3% was determined for the Netherlands, for € 70 million, reported from World Footwear.
