Global exports also decline
In 2023, the global volume of exported footwear reached 14 billion pairs, representing a 9.1% decrease compared to 2022, according to the World Footwear Yearbook 2024 by APICCAPS.
The value of exports amounted to US$ 168 billion, reflecting a 6.1% decline. However, this figure was the second-highest on record.
Global exports are concentrated in more than three-quarters across three Asian countries. China accounts for a 63.8% share, followed by Vietnam with 9.5%, and Indonesia, representing 3.2%.
