According to the Portuguese Footwear, Components and Leather Goods Manufacturers’ Association (APICCAPS), it will organize two actions under the Portuguese Shoes Showcase: from 28 to 30 January in Seoul, supported by the Compete 2030 program; and from 4 to 6 February, for the first time in Tokyo, in a phase aimed at consumers with purchasing power and a strong focus on design, quality and sustainability.
The association’s president, Luís Onofre, stated that certain characteristics of demand encourage Portugal’s presence. In addition, the EU maintains free trade agreements with these markets, which benefits Portuguese footwear.
