Positive outlook for footwear sales and prices in 2025

The World Footwear Business Conditions Survey for the second half of 2024 indicates that, in terms of sales, 65.4% of respondents expect an increase in the quantity of footwear sold, whether moderate, strong, or very strong.

Regarding retail prices, expectations for the next six months point to either stability or growth, with over 91% of respondents forecasting such trends. The most notable figure is the 36.4% who anticipate a moderate increase (1.5% to 5%), followed by 24.3% who predict a strong rise (5% to 20%). The main challenges for the sector include the cost of raw materials and goods, local competition, and insufficient domestic demand, according to APPICAPS.
