Claims from the sector became general

FICE's request for the incorporation of footwear within the government's promotion actions was supported by the Valencian Association of Footwear Entrepreneurs (AVECAL). In this sense, Marián Cano -president of the entity and of FICE- considered the provisions of Royal Decree 5/2021 as “an incomprehensible decision that must be rectified immediately”, thus expressing their disagreement and discomfort, as reported by AVECAL.

From the Spanish Association of Footwear Component Companies (AEC) it was reported that more than 80% of their associates are excluded from the regulations, for which they requested their incorporation.
