Footwear from Alicante, the most bought by the United States

The quality of the Spanish workforce in the industry is attractive to the big brands.

Imports of Spanish footwear by the United States are 90% composed of products from Alicante, the main shoe region in Spain. Of the total that enter from the whole world to that country, Alicante products represent 8%. Thus, in addition to Germany, France, the United Kingdom and Italy, the United States is also a market of importance for the Spanish province.

At the local level, the Valencian Community means 70% of the footwear manufacture in Spain, with brands such as JIMMY CHOO, GUCCI, PRADA and STUART WEITZMAN that bet on quality. Important global brands represent around 3 million pairs in production, according to a study carried out by the Ágora Comunidad Valenciana Platform.
