Footwear from Alicante, the most bought by the United States
Imports of Spanish footwear by the United States are 90% composed of products from Alicante, the main shoe region in Spain. Of the total that enter from the whole world to that country, Alicante products represent 8%. Thus, in addition to Germany, France, the United Kingdom and Italy, the United States is also a market of importance for the Spanish province.
At the local level, the Valencian Community means 70% of the footwear manufacture in Spain, with brands such as JIMMY CHOO, GUCCI, PRADA and STUART WEITZMAN that bet on quality. Important global brands represent around 3 million pairs in production, according to a study carried out by the Ágora Comunidad Valenciana Platform.
