Shoe factories stop producing shoes to make masks

Facing the emergency, more and more establishments are redirecting their productions to articles for the coronavirus prevention.

Faced with the national government's call to different industries in the country, so that those with productive capacity can implement the manufacture of sanitary elements to fight the coronavirus, the footwear sector has responded immediately.

The company CALLAGHAN, from the Arnedo region, for example, has placed its facilities, machinery and operators at the service of manufacturing face masks for sanitary use.

In the shoemaker sector of Alicante, in Elche, Elda, Petrer, Crevillent, among other points, there are a good number of factories, and together with private dressers, a solidarity chain of mask production has been established for the province's hospitals.

Other industries are also converting their productions, facilitated by the suspension of the medical copyright that the European Union ordered, for greater accessibility to medical components and materials.
