USA threatens to impose tariffs of 25% to the European footwear

The measure is in return for the payment of the tax on digital services of international companies -most of them from the United States- by Europe.

If the decision is made, Spain, Italy, France and the United Kingdom would be among the most affected countries, since they maintain regular exports to the North American country.

From FICE, the Footwear Federation of Spain, reported that purchase orders from USA companies have already been interrupted. They point out the loss of competitiveness due to the new tax, the destruction of labor sources, the decrease in productivity and the relocation of international companies in Spain, in search of new territories.
