At the initiative of APICCAPS, the World Footwear Business Conditions Survey was carried out, a survey developed in March 2021 and referring to the first semester of the year.
Specifically on the prospects in the volume of footwear sales in the next semester, in Europe the idea of decrease prevails, which translated into 38% of the total surveyed. In turn, 34% of those consulted considered that sales will increase, while 28% assumed that they will remain stable.
The survey also enquired into the projections on the value of footwear. In this sense, 59% of the European segment considered that prices will remain stable in the next six months.
That indicator was followed by 25%, whose position is that they will increase. Finally, 16% in Europe foresee that the values will decrease, according to the entity.
