Request to ratify agreement with Mercosur

At the end of last June, the European Confederation of the Footwear Industry (CEC), together with other entities, released a statement in which they request to ratify the European Union-Mercosur Association Agreement.

In this sense, they affirmed that it is time to promote the advantages that this treaty can bring about in both blocks, two years after its approval, such as the promotion of investments and the generation of jobs.

"The agreement will unlock growth and help both regions to recover from the current economic and public health crisis, invest in the ecological transition, and diversify global supply chains and our core market base", the statement said.
