WORLD FOOTWEAR survey for first semester 2024
For the first semester of 2024, respondents of the World Footwear Business Conditions Survey projected an increase in the quantity of footwear to be marketed. In this regard, 69% of those surveyed estimated growth ranging from moderate to strong and very strong.
Similarly, the same perception is shared regarding the rise in the retail price of shoes. 76% of the total have expectations of price increases, in varying degrees, taking into account the high inflation of the second half of 2023.
The main difficulties mentioned by the respondents were the cost of raw materials and merchandise, competition in the domestic market, financial difficulties, and insufficient demand at the local level, as reported by World Footwear.
