Uruguayan LEATHER and MANUFACTURES exports had a value of US $ 45 million between January-June 2020, which meant a 45% drop compared to the same period in 2019, according to figures provided by the National Customs Directorate and released by Uruguay XXI.
For its part, in the first semester of 2020, the import value of FOOTWEAR, leggings and similar items, and part of them, had a retraction of 20%, for purchases that reached US $ 34 million, that is, US $ 8 million less than in the same months of 2019, according to SmartDATA figures processed by the Directorate of Economic Studies of the Chamber of Industries of Uruguay and disseminated by the latter entity.
