Leather exports show recovery
In the first six months of the year, exports of LEATHER AND ITS MANUFACTURED GOODS displayed a positive trend compared to the same period in 2023.
The data revealed a 12% rise in export value, from US$ 59 million last year to US$ 66 million in the first half of 2024.
This sector's contribution accounts for 1.1% of total international sales across all exporting sectors, according to data provided by the National Customs Directorate (DNA in Spanish) of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, as reported by Uruguay XXI.
