The footwear business in the United States in 2021 meant US$ 81,254 million, from the sale of 1,850 million pairs, among which textile products and others were the ones with the highest demand for US$ 25,205 million. Forecasts for 2025, is that the United States requires a total of 2,360 million pairs.
Per capita consumption in 2021 reached 5.6 pairs, and contrary to some forecasts, according to the international consultancy firm STATISTA, in 2022 it would grow 16.2% to reach 6 pairs. Preferences are headed by textile footwear, followed by leather products, sneakers and specific sports shoes.
As for purchasing channels by 2022, 66.3% will be offline purchases and 33.7% online. By 2025, projections stipulate 53.5% offline and 46.5% online.
