Industry advances in Technical Regulation
Following the Public Consultation, a meeting was held between the Decentralized Service for Standardization, Quality, Metrology, and Technical Regulations (SENCAMER) and the working group formed by CAVECAL, Calzapymi, the Vice Ministry for Small and Medium Enterprises, the National Institute for Prevention, Health, and Workplace Safety, and LAEC Laboratories.
During the meeting, an analysis was conducted on the draft Technical Regulation for Safety and Protective Footwear, which will apply to domestically produced, imported, marketed, and distributed products within the country.
The goal of this initiative is to reduce chemical, mechanical, and electrical hazards, while also incorporating SENCAMER's contributions to improve quality standards and make production processes more accessible, according to the entity.
