Manufacturers demand increased financing

Amid tax burdens and smuggling, the local industry calls for loans to aid its recovery.

In mid-March, Tony Di Benedetto, president of the Venezuelan Chamber of Footwear and Components (CAVECAL), stated that the industry needs long-term loans, believing that financing could enhance manufacturing.

Additionally, the leader pointed out factors that undermine the competitiveness of the national sector, such as smuggling that impacts local products, along with the taxes that companies must pay, he told local media.
