Positive outlook for footwear exports

The export of Vietnamese footwear is promoted by several factors, including the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement of the Transpacific Association that would allow entering countries such as Canada and Mexico. Similarly, the sector would gain advantages in the United States, because the preferential measures to India and China were canceled.

On the other hand, the footwear industry registered an 11.2% increase in foreign sales, corresponding to the period between January and October 2019 and in relation to the same months last year. The value of sales was around US $ 14.6 billion, as reported by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and disseminated by Vietnam Plus.
